SUMMARY:2018 Alpine Loop Gran Fondo
DESCRIPTION:On September 30th (2018) I’ll be riding my 7th edition of what I think it the best gran fondo in the US\, the Alpine Loop Gran Fondo in Harrisonburg\, Virginia\, hosted by pro mountain biker Jeremiah Bishop. \nThere are four different routes for every level of rider. But the Queen Stage goes over the mountains into West Virginia and back\, including the famed back side of Reddish Knob. \nIf you like a challenge\, the Alpine Loop Gran Fondo is a “Don’t Miss” ride. \nProceeds support the Cancer Journeys Foundation and cancer survivors across the US. \nThe unique aspect of the Alpine Loop Gran Fondo is that the top male and female finishers in their age groups are awarded coveted King and Queen of the Mountain jerseys.  Julian Alaphillppe won the KOM at this year’s Tour de France\, but you can win your very own jersey on 30 September at the Alpine Loop Gran Fondo. \nPS: And I’ll be there to personally present it to you! \nAllez!
