Kettle Bells and Hamstrings

Strong Hamstrings Make You Go Fast

I’m always looking for ways to increase my 500-meter sprint speed. My trainer, Nicole Rijelle, keeps telling me to work on the hamstrings as well at my quads. So, I pulled out my 20 lb. kettlebell and I’m doing two sets of 15 kettlebells swings every morning.

My goal is three sets of 20 swings three times per week.  Plus, HITT intervals on my indoor trainer using my Zwift account.

My personal road cycling challenge?

My road sprint goal is to stay in the #1 spot for my age group on the flying 500-meter Strava segment along Ballona Creek in Los Angeles. If I can, I’ll snag a very unique spring cycling jersey through the Cancer Journeys Foundation’s 2020 KOM/QOM and Sprint championship program.

Do you look good in green? Would you love to sport a Tour de France KOM jersey? Then read on . . . !
